At Serene Midwest Photography, we are a mother-and-son duo with a shared passion for capturing the beauty of nature.

Melinda picked up her first camera as a teenager and has spent over 30 years refining her craft. Specializing in nature photography—primarily landscapes, with the occasional wildlife subject—she has developed a unique talent for finding beauty in often-overlooked places. Having lived in various locations across the U.S., Mellinda has built a deep appreciation for the Midwest's serene charm. After spending eight years in Kansas, she is now based in Michigan, where she is excited to explore and share the state's natural beauty through her lens.

Inspired by his mom, he picked up his first camera a few years ago and has been honing his skills ever since. Following in Melinda's footsteps, he has developed a love for nature photography and enjoys learning from her experience. He is eager to share his growing expertise and perspective with others.

Every photo featured on this site is a product of the passion, dedication, and creativity of the photographers at Serene Midwest Photography. Together, we aim to bring the beauty of the Midwest—and beyond—into your home.
